30 Weeks

Slacking over here! All is well, I just didn't get around to updating last week. And I'm a few days late now with the 30 week update, too. Last weekend Canaan threw a baby shower for me in Woodward! It was great seeing everyone there and we got the best gifts! Lots of adorable clothes and tons of stuff I needed for our babies arrival. :) I will share pictures on a separate post when I get them from my mom. I have a few from my phone - I was NOT happy with how big my face is in pictures! I should probably do the 10 day smoothie cleanse before my next shower in OKC October 3rd.
Dad came yesterday with Joy & Eleanor and painted the nursery while Joy was seeing Steve for some dental work. He also hung the chandelier! It still makes me so giddy!! I'm still in shock I'm going to have a baby!



How far along: 30 Weeks

Total weight gain: 21lbs. I've been really watching what I eat and trying to eat at home and clean meals! Except the last two days and baby shower day. Blah. But I was pleasantly surprised to see that I had lost a little weight and not gained any the last two weeks - not eating junk food pays off! :)

Maternity clothes: Yes

Stretch marks: No

Sleep: Not well.

Best moment of this week: The baby shower was awesome!!

Miss anything: Being small!

Movement: Yes :D

Food cravings: Chocolate! Peanut butter M'M's (haven't caved yet!) and chocolate cupcakes - I've had two :(

Exercise: Doing more and more workouts at home. I do not workout at the gym unless I have to go in for something. Next week I'll have to approve my time card and turn in training cards so I'll plan to use the gym then, but that's it. I'm really self-conscious about my body (and now, after seeing pictures of myself, my face as well!)
TIU's fall challenge is encouraging everyone to use an app that will log miles walked, run, or biked and donate to a charity of your choosing. Since I don't walk more than one mile at a time (uterus gets hard and stays hard until I stop at about 1 mile..) I've been biking a lot. I usually stay in the neighborhood so I hope that doesn't get too boring too fast, haha. Today I biked a little over 4 miles and I was pretty bored. I was so tired I'm glad I didn't do more. Tons of people recommend exercise to pregnant women as a way to feel better and actually have more energy -- I have not had this happen once. Maybe I feel good during (not always!) but not much else. I can't imagine how much weight I would have gained by now if I had stopped exercising, though.. So there's that! Haha. ;)

additional symptoms: lot's of heart burn :( I have awful gas. It's pretty dang hard to shave my bikini line. Next time I'll have to use a mirror. Ha! Some days I am SO exhausted and feel icky and moody. I use to think it was days after I exercised too much but now I'm not sure. I didn't exercise at all yesterday and today I was just a grouch! I probably should have just stayed in bed longer this morning. Constipation has been better since I've been eating better - DUH. 

Hard to believe the countdown is less than 10 weeks!!
